Friends, today, I’m sharing a giveaway I found on a whim, which could be worthwhile for many people.

If you’ve got student loans, read closely!

Fidelity is running a Student Loan Giveaway through their new finance learning app Fidelity Spire.

Giveaway ends December 8, 2020.

The Prize

$30K towards the payoff of your student loans. They’ll work directly with the lender per the fine print to pay it off. They’ll also cover the cost of taxes associated with the prize and give you a 1099.

The Rules

The rules are pretty straightforward.

You have to download the Fidelity Spire app, head to the Offers section and share the app with up to 10 friends to receive an additional entry each.

Alternatively, you can send in a postcard with your name and info old school sweepstakes style.

They are 3 drawing periods and the first one has passed already, but you’ve still go two chances left.

Why Do This and Why Am I Sharing This

I know there are many people right now with student loans and struggling to pay it off. Even with The Cares Act temporarily suspending payments and interest accumulation for certain federal student loans, the current state of the economy will most likely make it more difficult to attack those student loans. While I don’t know the chances of winning, for a few minutes of work, luck could change your economic future.

What’s my incentive to share this? No financial incentive, although if you win, I wouldn’t refuse dinner. ;)

I no longer have student loans and grad school was paid for my employer so I’ve been fairly lucky in avoiding that.

I, originally came upon this Giveaway when I was reading through Fidelity.com fine print. Don’t ask! I like reading fine prints for some reason. A little research and I found very little marketing on it. No Instagram hashtag entries, but did find LinkedIn and Facebook posts on it and some press releases. So it’s legit. This is your sign to try your luck.

If you are not familiar, Fidelity is one of the top brokerage firms out there. I’m personally familiar with them because my first ever 401K when I got out of college was through them. I still hold an account and our 529 Account is with them.
